This beautifully preserved antique "Mardi Gras" pattern #42 child's table set by George Duncan's Sons & Company (later known as Duncan & Miller) includes a complete assortment of miniature glass serveware. Originally introduced in 1899, these downsized child's pieces mirrored full-sized adult table configurations of the Victorian era.
The five individual pieces featured in this set include: 1. The Covered Sugar Bowl (Bottom Left) / A deep, round serving bowl topped by a fitted, decorative matching lid. Measures 4.5 inches tall with lid on.
2. The Covered Butter Dish (Top Right) / A shallow, wide-rimmed underplate paired with a tall, heavy dome-shaped glass lid. Measures approximately 5.5 inches in diameter.
3. The Creamer / Pitcher (Bottom Right) / A small, open-top pouring pitcher configured with a prominent loop handle and a formed pouring lip. Adorned here with gold bands. Measures 3 inches tall.
4. The Spooner (Bottom Center) / An open, handles-free vertical cylinder with a flared, wavy scalloped top edge. Measures 2.5 inches tall.
